With more than 32 years of dedication to fire service, Brent currently serves as District Fire Chief in Tay Township. His leadership spans everything from routine response to large-scale emergencies — a record that reflects a deep, practical commitment to community safety.

Career highlights include:

• Overseeing fire safety for the 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games
• Developing Ontario's Mutual Aid Program
• Building and managing drone programs for emergency response

Before fire service, Brent led large teams and budgets in the automotive industry — operational experience that now anchors Waswanay's project delivery.
